5 Quick Tips for a Better Barbell Press
Grip the bar just out side the shoulders and make sure your forearms are vertical.
Rest the bar on the meat of your shoulders and keep your elbows in front of the bar at the bottom of the press.
Lift your chest.
Stare at an object in front of you directly at eye level. (Use a wall or another object)
As you drive the bar up, drive your torso forward. Moving the bar so it is directly above the middle of your foot.
