For as long as I can remember I have been overweight, but when I had my first child in Feb 2011 I was sitting at my heaviest of around 123kgs.

It was Oct 2011 when a friend from work told me to come and train with her and 2 other people in a group environment for a committed 4 week period. So I said why not. This is when I met Adam Simpson. He treated me just like the other girls even tho I was so scared of the fact that my size had caught up to reality.

I knew only after a couple of sessions with Adam that he was the trainer to get me where I wanted to go. I was very impressed with his focus and commitment to our sessions. So I took the step of having one-on-one sessions.

6 months later & after losing approx 12kgs, I fell pregnant again with my second child. I continued to exercise but due to medical reasons I was forced to stop.

So fast forward to Jan 2013, 8 weeks post baby # 2 (c-section). I called Adam and told him I was ready to return after gaining all the weight back & again sitting at 122kgs.

We took it slow and he knew how to adapt everything due to my surgery.

Adam inspires and motivates me to push myself in every session, he has the amazing ability to adapt our training to my personal needs. I achieved great results with Adam’s belief and became the fittest and healthiest I have been in more than a decade (or 2). We work on everything from sprinting to heavy weights (that’s the fun bit)

I urge anyone who is looking for a change to take that first step, I guarantee you won’t regret it

I keep going back to Adam because he is so positive and encouraging. He really knows how to get the best out of me. He pushed me to continue where I would have quit, helped me through those days when I wanted to be anywhere BUT with him, and even helped me face my fear of doing chin ups.

I started with Repetitions at the beginning of 2014, looking for a new direction with my training as I was feeling I was not getting anywhere with my own training at the gym, and following a knee reconstruction. Joining Repetitions was the best decision I have ever made in relation to my training.

When joining repetitions I weighed 80kgs and not as fit as I thought I was. I have since then dropped 18kgs now weighing 62kgs and more fitter and stronger than I ever thought I could be,

allowing me to go back and play hockey, something I had not been able to do since I was in school.

Adam and Nash create programs for both 1 on 1 and group sessions which are fun, high intensity and motivational. They provide an atmosphere where no goal is ever to small or to big to achieve. The support provided throughout your training both at the sessions and outside the session is like no other. I have never, prior to joining repetitions, been subjected to such a wonderful support network which is full of encouragement and professional advice. This professional advice is provided through both face to face, online support with meals plans and weekly measurement sessions to track your progress. In the group sessions your not made to feel like your missing out or being left behind, your encouraged, pushed and motivated to achieve great results. The best part about training for me is the friendships and the fun that we have during training which makes exercising exciting rather than it feeling like a chore. Whether it is the group challenges, games nights, individual challenges, fancy dress sessions or just a fun and creative session no training session is ever the same. You can be guaranteed three things by joining the repetitions team 1. You will get results 2. You will have fun and 3. You will make lifelong friends. Repetitions has changed my attitude towards training and food and I cant thank Adam and Nash enough for that. They have turned me into a fitness machine and I love it! I found Repetitions after searching for a personal trainer (PT). I was a bit hesitant to make contact as I didn’t want to go to a gym. I forced myself one afternoon to call in and check it out before dismissing it completely. My first impressions of Adam was that he is very passionate about the training and the variety of training they offer. From PT to small focus groups to a variety of group classes to open gym. It’s a great environment and feels like the “old” traditional gyms as opposed to the larger “corporate” ones… with things like, a board with monthly challenges for anyone to do (friendly competition amongst members) to a board with suggested exercises for the open gym if you don’t want to think about what to do. I am very happy with my one on one PT training. Highly recommend!

Where do I start, this gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. The awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here is second to none.
